First Birthdays: ¡Fiesta!
The Southwest holds a special place in Jordana’s parents’ hearts. The vast deserts, the spicy Tex-Mex food, the cacti all inspired this party. While the activities of the party aren’t set in stone (the Georgia weather is a little iffy in late October and they’re waiting for the forecast), the food certainly is.
Jordana’s dad is the family chef and will be making a variety of empanadas, churros, taquitos, and other hand foods. Her aunt will be making plastic tumblers full of layered dip as well as the cake, which will have candies that spill out like a piñata. The candy buffet will prominently feature Mexican brands. A galvanized tub of Mexican Coke will be provided to wash it all down.
